AI Readiness Scorecard.

Ten questions about how your business runs today. You get a score out of 100, what is holding you back, which package fits and which agent to build first.

How do I know if my business is ready for AI agents?

A business is ready for AI agents when three things are true: there is enough repetitive work or customer volume for an agent to absorb, the knowledge it needs is written down somewhere, and someone inside can own it for the first few weeks. theagency47’s scorecard measures these across four dimensions (opportunity, foundations, systems and data, team and timing) with ten questions scored 0 to 3, and returns a score out of 100 with a recommended starting package, from the €297 AI Audit to a €15,000 Workforce Pro build.

Answer honestly. Nobody sees this but you.

Everything runs in your browser. Pick the answer closest to how things are today, not how you would like them to be.

03What happens to enquiries that arrive outside office hours?
04How many people work in the business?

06Where do the answers to common customer questions live?
07Which tools does the team use every day?
08Can you get your customer and order data out of those tools?
09Who would own an AI agent inside the business?

Methodology

How the scorecard works.

Each question has four answers worth 0, 1, 2 or 3 points. Ten questions give a maximum of 30 points; your score is the total divided by 30, times 100. The questions are grouped into four dimensions, each shown as its own percentage so you can see what is holding the total back.

  • Opportunity (4 questions): How much repetitive work and customer volume an agent could absorb.
  • Foundations (2 questions): Whether your processes and knowledge are written down for an agent to learn from.
  • Systems & data (2 questions): Whether an agent can read from and write to the tools you already use.
  • Team & timing (2 questions): Whether someone can own the agent and how soon you want results.

What each score means

0–39
Early. There is value to capture, but the groundwork comes first: write down the processes and gather your knowledge in one place. The AI Audit tells you exactly what to prepare.
40–64
Ready for a first agent. One well-scoped agent on your highest-volume task will pay back. Spark (€2,500, 14 days) is usually the right start.
65–84
Ready for an AI workforce. You have the volume, the systems and an owner. Three coordinated agents (Workforce Starter, €7,500, 30 days) cover the main bottlenecks.
85–100
Ready to scale. Strong foundations and clear volume. A department-wide build (Workforce Pro, €15,000, 60 days) or a company-wide Launch, Run or Scale package makes sense. With several departments in mind, an AI transformation sequences them.

The recommended package also looks at team size and foundations. A high score in a five-person business still points to Spark, because one agent covers most of the opportunity. A low Foundations score points to Second Brain first, because an agent is only as good as the knowledge it can read. It is Stage 1 of the AI company brain, which grows with you. A top score in a company with several departments points to an AI transformation: one department first, then the next on the same foundation.

FAQ

Questions about the scorecard.

What is an AI readiness assessment?

An AI readiness assessment measures whether a business can get real value from AI agents now, and what it should fix first. The theagency47 scorecard asks ten questions across four dimensions (opportunity, foundations, systems and data, team and timing), scores each answer from 0 to 3, and converts the total to a score out of 100 with a recommended starting package.

How is the AI readiness score calculated?

Each of the ten questions has four answers worth 0, 1, 2 or 3 points, for a maximum of 30. The score is the total divided by 30, multiplied by 100 and rounded. Four sub-scores show the same calculation per dimension. Bands: 0 to 39 Early, 40 to 64 Ready for a first agent, 65 to 84 Ready for an AI workforce, 85 to 100 Ready to scale.

Is my business too small for AI agents?

Usually not. A business of three to five people with steady customer enquiries often gets the fastest payback, because one agent answering calls or messages around the clock replaces work nobody has time for. What matters more than size is volume of repetitive work and whether the answers are written down somewhere.

What happens after I get my score?

You see the score, the four sub-scores, a recommended package and a suggested first agent immediately, with no sign-up. If you want a concrete plan, the next step is the AI Audit (€297): a 60-minute session and a written one-page report naming the three to five agents worth building, with expected ROI. The €297 is credited in full if you start a project within 30 days.

Are my answers stored anywhere?

No. The scorecard runs entirely in your browser. Your answers leave the page only if you choose to email yourself the results, in which case the answers and score are sent with your email address through our form provider.
